I believe that every journey should be meaningful. Me and my wife Gursharan Kaur ,both are very spiritual and religious so we both planned and started our Spiritual Journey which was inspired by our first guru Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji. Guru ji travelled for 28 long years by foot in his lifetime and that’s called his 4 Udasis ( Spiritual Travels ).
We followed Guru Nanak Dev jis footsteps and did the similar journey by car. This was first of its kind and no one attempted that so far.
This was a symbolic journey to spread out Guru Nanak Dev Ji’s vision of equality across caste and religion and his message of universal brotherhood to the mankind, A message of love and peace to the world on the occasion of his 550th Birth Anniversary in 2019 . This was just a tribute to him on his birth anniversary from our side.
We started this journey from New Delhi on 4th July 2019 & finished on 7th March 2020 successfully by the grace of almighty.
During this spiritual journey I visited two Historical Hindu temples , Muslim Mosque and Buddhist Monasteries where our history says Guru Nanak Dev ji visited during his spiritual travels besides Sikh religious historical Gurudwara Sahib ji.
In first leg of my Spiritual Journey, I drove myself as solo driver on my same car which I used on my Delhi to London trip and covered 44000 km across 29 states of India including six neighboring countries (Pakistan, Nepal, Bhutan, Myanmar, Bangladesh & SriLanka ) with my wife and team of 3 crew members.
It took us 8 months to complete this historical journey and during this trip we stayed in Gurudwara’s Sarai and ate Guru ka Langer all the time.
We made 245 videos on this spiritual journey which were telecasted on India’s prime Punjabi TV channel, PTC Punjabi and show was called “The Spiritual Journey of The Turban Traveller “. It’s also on my Instagram, Facebook, Youtube channel @theturbantraveller and on our App “ GURDWARAS By: TURBAN TRAVELLER”
